Entering your address in delivery apps and taxis

Most Korean apps search addresses in Korean. If you type an English address, the app may not find it. The easiest way is to copy the Korean address and paste it in.

Delivery apps (Baemin, Coupang Eats, Coupang)

1. Find your address on Korean Address Helper and tap Copy next to the Korean address.
2. In the app, open the address setting and paste it into the search box.
3. Pick the matching result from the list.
4. In the detail box (상세주소), add your building and unit, e.g. 101동 1203호, or your hotel room number.

Some apps may ask for a Korean phone number to sign up or to order.

Hotels and guesthouses

Use the hotel's address and write the hotel name and your room number in the detail box. Riders often cannot go up to the rooms, so be ready to pick up your order in the lobby or at the front desk.

Taxis

Taxi drivers use navigation in Korean. Tap Show to taxi driver on the result to show the Korean address in large letters. If you use the Kakao T app, paste the Korean address into the destination search.

Mail and parcels from abroad

Use the English address, written from small to big, ending with the postal code and country:

Unit 1203, 22 Myeongdong 8-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul 04536, Republic of Korea

Adding the Korean address on the label as well helps the local courier.

Korean phrases for your delivery request

Copy one of these into the request box (요청사항):
