Korean Address Helper ("we") does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email or phone number. This page explains what happens to the information you use on this site.
Searches and location
The text you search and, if you allow it, your location are sent to Kakao and to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's address service to find addresses. Place names typed in languages other than Korean or English may be sent to OpenAI to convert them into Korean. We do not store your searches or your location on our server.
Photos
Photos you upload are sent to OpenAI only to read the address text. We do not save photos on our server. OpenAI may keep API data for a limited period under its own policies.
Reports
When you use "Wrong address? Report it", we save the search, the result, your note and the page language to improve the service. We do not save your IP address with reports.
Technical logs and abuse prevention
Like most websites, our server and our network provider (Cloudflare) keep standard access logs, such as IP address, browser type and time, for security. To prevent abuse, we count requests per IP address in memory; these counts are reset every day.
Cookies and local storage
We save your language choice in your browser's local storage.
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date.
